ELEMENTARY ART
We partnered with Stark Community Foundation, Arts in Stark, and local artists to permanently incorporate art lessons into the elementary curricculum.
FLEXIBLE SEATING
We provided a variety of seating options across all elementary schools to accommodate students' learning styles, improve attention span and increase learning.
VIRTUAL REALITY GOGGLES
The middle school and high school maker spaces now house virtual reality goggles that can be borrowed by teachers who use them to bring lessons to life.
CANTON SYMPHONY
The entire third grade across all four elementary schools enjoyed a field trip to the Canton Symphony.
LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP
We funded an additional day of the Ted Wiese Leadership Workshop for students in the JAGS and JSA programs.
EGG-CELLENT EGGS!
Elementary students received egg incubators and a scope that allows them to see through the egg shells.
LEGO WE DO KITS​
We provided each of the elementary schools with these kits for Lego STEM learning opportunities.
ROX PROGRAM
This program supports the social and emotional health and communication skills for girls in grades 5, 7 and 9.
STEM AND STEAM BINS
We funded three separate grants that provided elementary school students with STEM, fine motor manipulative, and STEAM bins. These will expand morning work learning opportunities.
SOCIAL THINKING
This program trained one of our teachers to train other teachers in the Social Thinking methodology, which will teach students social knowledge and awareness.
ELECTRIC CAR KITS

JMMS and JHS students were each provided an electric car kit that they used to build and race an electric car.
READING RECOVERY
We sent a teacher to the premier national K-6 literacy conference, which is known for building efficacy in literacy instruction.
ZOME GEOMETRY
We provided ZOME Geometry kits to the middle school for hands-on geometry modeling.
MUSIC IN THE MAKER SPACE
We purchased tabletop harps for each elementary school's maker space to add easy-to-learn instruments as an option for students.
NEWS 2 YOU RECIPES
This program allows special education students to practice real world life skills.
CULINARY FIELD TRIP
We were able to send our high school culinary students to the Culinary Institute of America and Tavern on the Green.
WATER BOTTLE STATION
This grant provided water bottle station kits to high school students for installation in the school.
HEART RATE SENSORS
This grant provided heart rate sensors to the adapted physical education students across the district.
ROBOTICS CLUB
Several JHS students started a robotics club with this grant. Students built robots for local robotics competitions.
SPHEROS ROBOTS
We purchased Spheros robots for the JMMS Maker Space. The students are able to use these to learn coding.
TOP YOUTH SPEAKER
We were able to bring in a top youth speaker to speak to the high school students and their parents.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL TRIP
This grant allowed JMMS students to attend a live play of "A Christmas Carol" by provided funds for bus service.
YA AUTHOR VISIT
This grant allowed a young adult author to visit our schools and speak to our students.
FILM CLUB
This grant allowed the JHS Film Club to purchase much needed equipment for the community demand for their movies.
SENSORY TABLES
Kindergarten teachers across the district were able to purchase sensory tables for their classes with this grant.
ORAL STORYTELLING
This grant allowed kindergarten teachers at Lake Cable to purchase puppets and accessories for oral storytelling centers in their classrooms.
