In our eighth grant cycle, JLSF awarded a classroom amplification unit, funded a partnership program with Kent State, gave money to keep our visual arts program going during the COVID environment, and donated $5K toward Chromebooks for students during e-learning.
STARK STATE, JLSF PROMISE
Justin Hardesty, president of the Jackson Local Schools Foundation, said they brought the idea to Stark State to help Jackson alumni complete college.
“It’s Bears helping Bears. Paying it forward,” he said. “Once a bear, always a bear.”
2020 PLUNGE WAS A SUCCESS
JLSF wrapped up our signature Plunge event in February. During the Polar Bear Plunge, teams form to raise money for both their charity of choice and the Jackson Local Schools Foundation. This year's event raised nearly $70K!
“Education is a great investment. Let’s work together
to provide exceptional opportunities for our
community’s children and the fine educators who
foster their growth.”
– Justin Hardesty, Foundation President
We Believe… Outstanding communities are defined by the quality of the education they deliver to their youth.
We Imagine… A school district free to enact lofty educational goals and innovative ideas that lift young minds to extraordinary heights.
We Need… You to help us build a legacy that perpetuates Jackson’s excellence and provides educational promise beyond what the school district can provide.
